A Call to Action
Lignum Vitae Centre of Hope (LVCH) is a Bahamian Non Profit Organization committed to bringing about POSITIVE social change in the Bahamas.

Our Mission: ‘Better is Possible’.

Our Vision: Is a society where all citizens have access to opportunities which promote self-sufficiency.

LVCH has a four-fold agenda:
  • To provide Bahamian Youth with a safe, dynamic, educational environment through 4-H programming and activities offered at the NEW Marina C. Glinton Centre in collaboration with the Bahamas Red Cross Society in Bain and Grant's Town.
  • To Create Innovative Programming and Opportunities for Bahamian Youth by offering U.S. based 4-H training to members of the community and other organizations working with youth.
  • To Equip and Empower Single, Unemployed Mothers by providing skill-training through our sewing program Hands Up, also offered in collaboration with the Bahamas Red Cross Society at the Marina C. Glinton Centre.
  • To Raise Awareness of Social Issues and to Highlight the Non Profit Organizations (NPOs) serving the Bahamas through our bi-annual social awareness publication The Bahama VOICE.
The organization is non-discriminatory and is not limited to any particular population, race, culture, political group or religion.
